Virtual vs. Real Environments: What impact on our emotions and behavior?

Is virtual reality a relevant technology for studying the effects of urban environments on population stress?  The FragMent team thinks so!

Virtual reality can be used to model computer-simulated environments with high immersive potential for participants, while at the same time being highly realistic.

To confirm this, the FragMent team carried out an initial virtual reality experiment in April 2023. We compared the emotions and reactions of 50 participants, during a walk of a few minutes along two streets on the Belval campus, followed by a walk along virtual reproductions of these streets, on a treadmill, in our Virtual Reality Laboratory.

Follow our activities to find out the results!

The FragMent team would like to thank all participants for their important contribution to our project!
