Launch of the FragMent project

Launch of the FragMent project!  Funded by the European Commission over a 5-year period (October 2022 – September 2027), FragMent aims to gain a better understanding of the environmental determinants of momentary, daily and chronic stress in the population living in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

According to the Stress Restorative Theory, natural environments have more restorative virtues for our well-being and stress, compared to urban environments. However, with 68% of the world’s population expected to live in cities by 2050, there is an urgent need to refocus on the stress-relieving or restorative qualities of urban landscapes.

The project brings together a number of international experts to analyze stress in cities, and includes epidemiologists, geographers, and experts in mobility and environments, as well as in digital health and artificial intelligence.
